Deeply involved in Hawaii’s senior advocacy and professional communities, Percy is active with the Financial Planners Association of Hawaii, Hawaii National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society, the Kupuna Caucus, and AARP. He is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)—the only double-accredited designation in both the financial services and senior-care industries—and also holds the Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC), giving him extensive expertise in long-term care planning.
Percy is the creator of the highly popular Generations Magazine Annual “Aging in Place” Workshop, a signature Hawaii event attended by baby boomers and their parents. This workshop provides trusted, practical information on navigating the challenges of aging in place—covering housing, caregiving, health, finance, and community resources.
Further demonstrating his commitment to Hawaii’s senior community, Percy currently serves as the Executive Director of Akamai Seniors, a nonprofit founded by Ed and Travis Motosue of Financial Benefits Insurance Company, Hawaii’s leader in Medicare education. Akamai Seniors delivers workshops on aging, health, and practical strategies to Live Well throughout life’s later stages.
